When you start the small business, you worry a lot of things: budget, design, package, shipping…. I write these series for the small business owner, but you can use this way for your business for testing new categories or new products for your company. I like the way to start small and get bigger if you get the good signal from the market for your new product.
If you sell the FMCG products (like soap handmade, foods, fruit…) or any products under 50 USD, Facebook is the good platform for testing. Because Facebook is a timeline platform, a customer will see your product when you post or advertising to them, but after that your post will go far away. They will do not buy the product with a small budget if they like.
For the product is higher 50 USD, I think you need a website. People will check the information carefully when they buy the product. Website is the best place for you to convince them. If your customer compares the product for another site, website is the best platform for remarketing to customer.

Now, you have a product; you chose the platform. The last thing you need courage to stand out comfort zone. Do not forget to write a budget for next 6 months for testing:
+ Money for import product. If you affiliate or dropship, you will not spend more money
+ Money for package
+ Money for website (if you need it) (hosting, domain….I will have a post for website)
+ Money for advertising
Do not quit your job for starting. Let’s try first, if you get the good signal, you will have many ways to choose. Only, work hard for starting. Get fail, learn, and get train again. If you have the passion for your business, you will get a good result
